Jon's World o' Squirrels

There are many squirrel sites on the internet, but few are unique as Jon's World o' Squirrels. What makes this site so unique are his squirrel mini-essays and reports about squirrels on college campuses. This site is comprised mostly of one long page but the information you'll need is accessible from links at the top.

Some of the essays include:

  • "All Squirrel Food Not Created Equal" (why peanuts may be harmful to squirrels)
  • "Are Squirrels Pettable?"
  • "Squirrel Evolution" (why squirrels rank high on the rodent evolution chain)
  • "Jon's Complex Relationship With Squirrels"
  • "Squirrels and Whales"
  • "Seasonal Messages"
  • "Because" (a beautiful poem about squirrels)

Also featured on the Jon's World o' Squirrels is a rundown of squirrel reports from colleges across the country. This section of World o' Squirrels begins with a listing of squirrel reports from California universities and is followed by a listing of squirrels at universities outside of California.

What SquirrelNet would like to see is squirrel reports from universities outside of the US. If anyone has additional squirrel reports, please send an email to Jon at jgott@nayzak.com.

Again, this is a great unique squirrel site with some cool and interesting features. Check it out!
